Nobody remembers the perfect 68-degree run. They remember the one where it was 19 degrees and dark and the wind had opinions, and they went anyway.
Bad conditions are honest. They strip away the part of you that trains for the photo and leave the part that trains because it said it would. There's no crowd at 5 a.m. in February. There's just you and the decision.
Dress for it, respect it, and then let it do what it does best: remove every excuse except the real one. Most mornings, the real one doesn't hold up.
The weather isn't an obstacle to the work. On the right morning, it is the work.
